Keen Land Cruiser evolved in what appears to be glacial steps, Toyota has chosen not to change the size of a car for most anything. The wheelbase remains unchanged, while overall length increased by only 45mm and 10mm wide with only.
As mentioned, Toyota also remained loyal to the old ladder chassis construction methods and live axle located at the rear four link. As before, fully independent front suspension and active anti-roll bar in the roll control means not only LC5 executed from left to right, but also from front to back. If the car off road, the influence of the roll bar can be reduced as far as they can be considered lost.
Makes sense, only one engine offered: the revised version of the 3.0-liter diesel motor seen in the previous Land Cruiser. This is not a sweet six-cylinder unit may hope and even expect in this SUV costing a lot, but a rough and ready to trade in a simple four-pot power output (171bhp at 3800rpm) is more meaningful to £ 302 ft. of torque.
However, this figure will hardly send students from six-cylinder BMW, Audi and Land Rover rushed back to their drawing boards. For a car weighing 2400kg, the amount was barely sufficient firearms.
